This was my last find in a flea market, a tinplate clockwork lithographed nº45 Tank Goods Train Set was made in England by Hornby Meccano in the 1950´s, this set can be seen on the catalogue stripe from the 1958 Hornby catalogue included in the last image.
Original cardboard box, containing a clockwork nº40 Tank Locomotive (with brake and reverse action), nº50 Wagon, nº50 Lumber Wagon, nº50 Tank Wagon and 2ft. radius rails, also includes 2 cast Lamps that can be attached to several places in the locomotive, i hope you enjoy it.

I work in a Shell petrol station and I just come off the Online training program for Fire safety....watchng fires on forecourts ts the only issue thats taken my mind of Covid 19. Glad you shared. Many years ago I worked over a Chrstmas period in a toy factory in Swansea South Wales UK and sadly we made errr mmm Corgi. But I would have prefered Hornby. These look great
Thank you for sharing that story Geodejem! so you actually were involved in the Corgi manufactoring, thats too cool :)
I must agree with you, "House Meccano" made the best Toys.
