Your photos are almost too dark to see them but I'm sure they are not easy to photograph. They may be carved from Ebony or Ironwood, both are very dark wood. Hard to tell.
these are pretty cool! what kind of wood do you think? very dark red with straight grain. Teak, maybe?

I would think Chinese, possibly some other Asian country based on the style. They are fab!
These are from Thailand. I have the exact same set, but a much lighter wood. They are supposed to be Siamese Fighting Fish (Bettas), so if you do a search for "carved betta fish" or something similar, you will find a couple of examples. The carvings are not very expensive, but the shipping is...so not sure how to value something like that.

I came across this post because I have the same exact fish in my storage. It is massive.! I bought it at an antique sale in Massachusetts. I only have one which would be your larger one with the same yellow eyes but there is a color difference it’s made out of some kind of mahogany wood, the one I have, but I have no other information.
