Not really sure what to post under. But we found this buried in our yard (rural SC). But we were curious as to what it is and any further info we could get about this tool. We kind of figure it is a type of tractor tool. But it looks like there is "PTO" written on it. Any help would be awesome! Thanks yall!

PTO is Power Take Off used on tractors. It's a splined drive shaft that could power tractor attachments mower decks, bush hogs, cultivators etc. Thus is most likely a tool to attach the implements to the tractor. I have no idea who the manufacturer was or date.
