Carved wood, some millagros attached, metal details and no marks. Thought it was perhaps a boot remover, but that doesn't make sense. Perplexed, any help appreciated.

The heads on bottom look like camels, pretty design
I think it has something to do with camels, saddles etc..
We all agree camels
Anything on the back
The back looks exactly like the front. i had someone think llama or panther heads. i will search camel 'stuff'. Thank you all for your opinions....jan
Another 2 cents from me. Looking at it and the images in metal and the shape, I wonder if it might have been a religious icon or ornament. The horseshoe shape, open end up would indicate good luck or having plenty. The two fishes, one on either side, ichthys. I can't see the two images in the round metal pieces but perhaps a god or goddess? Maybe eastern orthodox?
Have been going down rabbit holes on the internet with this. It's like a dangling carrot. It's probably something mundane like a foot scratcher or eggplant circumference measurer, etc. I will continue the quest....
Hmmm, I thought the same thing you did. Still possible if it were for the ladies of the Victorian era as they seemed to be much smaller than the women of today, so it would actually make some sense thinking about it like that. Is there any felt or leather on the inside? Even if that were lacking, wouldn't count it out for that reason. Slingshot??? haha
