Hi, was wondering if any hot wheels experts could explain why this 1970 sand crab has a base named Dune Daddy also there are differences in the molding. Thanks for any comments

Dune Daddy is the 1973 version. This version lacks the clear plastic roof as does your model. The year on the base does not correspond with the year it was made just when it was first released or designed.

Thanks For the reply, So what I get is they used a 1970 base on a 1973 car. Looks like it was lime green at one time...

Indeed, it was originally lime green, someone has painted over it.
