Recently acquired these brooches. They are pretty old-no markings on them. The one features a pretty flower with enamel accents. The other is possibly mother of pearl. Hope you enjoy looking.

I find both quite striking !~
Phil. Thanks so much. I really like these also, especially the enamel one. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. :)
Great older brooches MrsT. I too go for the enamel first, but the mother of pearl one sneaks up!
I've been loving all your brooch posts today!
Eileen, thanks for the lovely comment-yes, the tiny details really make the piece!
Racer, so very kind of you to comment. Glad you like them :)
Two wonderful antique brooches! The left one I would say is the oldest. I am quite sure it's victorian probably before 1900, from the style and composition. It seems to be a violet which was the symbol of shy modesty and quiet virtue. Here it looks protected by four swords? Beautiful white enamel that I love. Very nice and unique brooch. The left brooch I would say is from around 1910-1920 looking at the style and you are right about the mother of pearl in the middle. Beautiful as well.
.... And both beautiful but as a collector I would have gone after the enamel brooch.... I love these dramatic looking brooches with a "meaning". It's really very nice.
