Fun painting that I’ve had a few years. I look at it often and it always seems to invoke questions of why was that painted like that or what was the artist trying to symbolize or say. The painting is 34x40 without frame. It is not signed, but on back it has written on paper Gramercy National Arts Club, New York City and in parentheses is written “Not Always An Angel”. I think it’s done by Benjamin Levy born 1940.

More in line with surrealism than abstract, I think. I like it.
