While visiting Stockholm this week, I popped into a local thrift store to see if I could spot any Scandinavian treasures. Just before leaving the shop, I found this little vase on a high shelf and recognized the design from another post here on Show & Tell. :)
The vase has no markings or original stickers, but I believe this is a pressed-glass design by Josef Schott for Smålandshyttan in Sweden, where he was the head designer, circa 1960s. This was one of the lesser-known glass factories in Sweden's glassmaking center in the Småland province, in operation from 1947 - 1976. At around $11 USD, I think the vase was quite a steal.
