clove28 : I had a cabinet just excatly like this one at one time . Mine held a radio . It looks like someone took the radio parts out of yours and put selves into it . I lost mine in a fire and was just sick because the radio actually worked . I loved that radio and the cabinet . Mine also held a record player in the top , but that was gone when I got it . There was a hole in the side of mine on the right side where you cranked up the record player to make it run and the top raised up . Seeing this brings back many happy memories . Thanks for sharing .
Nancy, thanks for that info. I looked my cabinet over carefully, and there is no hole on the sides for a crank, also no hole in back where a cord could have been so I still have no Idea for this cabinet. Thanks so much for your information.
Carmen : I am sure that your cabinet was made to hold a radio . It may have only had the radio and no record player . Thus no hole in the side for the crank . Mine also had a back on it that I had to remove to work on the radio when I first got it . I have seen several of these type cabinets at Flea Markets and aniqute shops and they all had radios in them . This however is the first one I have seen that is just excatly like the one I used to have except for the area for the record player .
