Very nice, it's one of the gods in Asian culture, could be either Japanase or Japanese, I look at the garments and this is Chinese elaborate robes.

The old man who walk with a cane, hold the peach of wisdom and has a big bald head is the god of wisdom and longevity.

It's Chinese, literally the God of Longevity bringing you the peach of immortality to wish you a happy birthday and a long life. The date is either 1955 or 2015. If 1955 it is probably from outside of mainland China and somewhere where they still speak Chinese.
    3. wma, 4 years ago
The date is part of the inscription on the textile.

Thanks wma. Would make sense, was mum and dads. 1955 for sure. Dad would have been in china about that time. ????
