If anyone knows what time frame these brooches are from or recognizes the manufacturers, I would appreciate the information. I picked the leaf shaped one up at a church yard sale. The starburst one was given to me by my aunt who has since passed away (she would be in her mid-90s if she were alive today). I wore my aunt's brooch on a dress that I wore to my daughter's graduation. I was very upset when it went missing -- thought I left it behind in the hotel room. Called the hotel, no luck. I was heartsick. Weeks later, it turned up inside my husband's dress shoe!
Thank you for the information nutsabotas6. When did the manufacturing change from the starburst type to leaf -- referring to the back of the pin. I thought that the back of the starburst (the way that it was manufactured) indicated it was older than the leaf pin.
Gorgeous pair with lovely designs
I especially like the first one :)
Starburst and leaf design were popular around the same time. Both look close to 1950 or so. It is always a plus for me to see pieces that were set with claws and not just glued on, which a lot of manufacturers went that way...
