Hello everyone!!
I found this cast iron doorstop for $10 at a flea market. This doorstop was made in the early 1920's and was marketed as "Polly Parrot". Polly was severely rusted when I took possession of her, so I cleaned her up and repainted her back to her original glory. Polly sits outside, atop my patio table. She measures 8 1/8" tall and 5 1/4" wide. These were produced by Hubley and a few other foundries. Though this one is clearly marked on the backside, that maker is unknown.
Thanks to you all for stopping in for a look at Polly!!

Polly sure is pretty now thanks to your masterful painting restoration Scott, with colors as lively as the rainforest she hails from
Ken,
You're too kind! Thank you so very much!
Jenni,
Thank you so much!! I'm most definitely NOT a masterful painter, but thank you for the very kind compliment!! I do enjoy painting though. It takes my mind away from all the craziness at the end of a work day.
