My mom collected this dog about 20-30 years ago. Like the other one I posted (thank you to all for identifying it as a Skoog), I am not sure what I have.
He seems to have a lovely airbrushed patina. But some aspects about him are odd. But aren't we all?

I have seen quite a few Hubley and National Foundry Boston Bull Terriers. But I have never seen one with openings on the underside.
This fellow has a flat screw (not a phillips) but the two halves of his body are not tight anymore.
The dimensions are 8.5" high by 8" wide. He weights 4 lb 5 oz.
    Is he a fake?

Another fantastic Boston Bull! The older versions of this had a single bolt securing the two halves together. The Hubley's had two screws. This one could have been made by the National Foundry or even the Albany foundry, though I'm not 100% sure on that. He's definitely the real deal though.
I have a couple of these with a single screw and the rest, in my collection, have two screws. I have a couple of wire hair fox terriers with the single bolt securing the two halves together. I still don't know who the maker of those two are.

      malebrune,
You may want to check out a website called doorstops.com . It has a wealth of useful information about antique doorstops.

      Thank you for your help!
I have a wire haired terrier with one screw as well!
But it's the weirdest thing. He has a hole (~3/4" diameter) cut out of the top of his head.

I do like the http://www.doorstops.com site. Also, finally broke down and bought a copy of the Hubley Catalogue by Rittenhouse.

So, I did some more digging and the ebay community had a similar post https://community.ebay.com/t5/Collectibles-Art/Cast-iron-doorstop-repro/m-p/29031735
In it they concluded the dog was likely a repro.

I know that one is not supposed to unscrew a dog and take it apart, but I did that.
It seems that a repro isn't worth much and perhaps I can add to the body of knowledge by sharing what I found.
One half is stamped with a "1"; the other is stamped with a "2". On the side with the screw hole, there appears to be a round raised mark (see URL for photos)

Does anyone have any additional information on this dog?
