We went to the Church this morning to hear a sermon but came home with 71 books we bought from their downsizing sale. The library is being moved to a smaller out-of-the-way room, so they had to clear out a number of books. I picked out about ten (at a quarter each), all but two being commentaries. The one shown here is a grimoire attributed to Moses. My mother, a niece, and a nephew picked out the rest. We had to borrow a cart as they had no boxes. LOL.
This post is just to show "The Complete Edition of the 6th and 7th Books of Moses or Moses' Magical Spirit-Art, Known as the Wonderful Arts of the Old Wise Hebrews, Taken from the Mosaic Books of the Cabala and the Talmud, For the Good of Mankind" in an orange paper cover.
While the translator and publisher clearly didn't agree on how to spell Kabbalah (using Kabala and Cabala), I should think these will still be fairly accurate to what they are trying to portray: Jewish mysticism that has been claimed to be given by God to Moses.
No date, but a hard-cover online that looks pretty much the same is copy-right 1916.
Of course, who would guess that a Church would have magic spell books in its library? LOL.
What, no spell-book section!?
