This was my big purchase from the Long Beach Antique Flea Market. I almost didn't get it but as I headed for the exit I turned back, did some bargaining and here it is. I already had a loose one but not in this good condition. And being loose it had no box.
Now for the exciting description. This model was made from 1966-1970 and as a Super King in a different color scheme and Mag Wheels. The earlier boxes had a painted background in the interior of the box. In 1968 or 1969 they went to the light blue interior, it varies. By 1969 it was all light blue interiors. This one is 1969 plus or minus a year. Usually the interiors of the box were cardboard but this model had a plastic interior t5o more secure the model inside which was close to twice as heavy as most other models as there were two vehicles.
The cellophane was loose so I took it out so the photos would come out better. It is laying off to the side in photo #1.
Part two coming right up.
Even the box is still brightly coloured. No fading!
You know that unboxing should always be done via a YouTube video with accompanying noises and commentary.
Clearly Fort you are old school. We are grateful.
That's a nice one!! Reminds me of the Tonka bulldozer, truck and trailer I had as a kid.
Thank you very much racer4four. I should get a proper camera so I can do proper unboxing that lasts about 15 minutes.
Thank you very much Scott. That Tonka set in mint condition would be worth big money now.
