I found this small dresser at a local antique store. After a little research, I found that the unique dovetailing (pin and cove) was mostly done between 1890 and 1900. I'm not an expert on these things, but I usually know a nice piece when I see it. After a thorough cleaning this little dresser will be a welcomed addition to our household. I didn't find any markings to indicate the maker of the piece. It came to the antique store from an estate sale in Charleston, WV. Update: The dresser has been completely refinished, and is a welcomed addition to our home. I had to take it down to bare wood to remove marks and stains. I cleaned and reused the original drawer pulls.
