This is a vintage piece, any ideas on it's age, or maker, could it be German? no marks on it, maybe WWI, it is in mint condition used :)

Hello, this inkwell is in the form of a German Military Pickelhaub helmet. My best guess is that it dates from the WWI era 1910 to 1910, and that it probably was made in Germany. Just thought I add my two cents. Nice item.

      Interesting inkwell.

It is meant to resemble a German WW1 spiked helmet.

I would think that the bayonet through it was meant to be anti- German. That sentiment would certainly date it to the WW1 era, but would put manufacture OUTSIDE of Germany.

Can you post a photo of the underside of it?

Thanks. I thought it might show something that would identify it being later than WW1 manufacture.

I don't see anything and would say it does date from the WW1 era.

      Thanks for sharing it.

I'd hit the "loves" twice, if it would let me. Great piece
