1840 "Surveyed Part of Michigan" by John Farmer

I found this old map of Michigan in my father's map collection of the Adirondacks. I have no idea where he got it or why he had it. It is less than pristine but the colors are great and it does have the original cover it came in. I would assume somebody in that area of the country would have an interest in it. I'm trying to decide what to do with it (restore, sell, donate, etc.). Does any anybody have any knowledge of this particular map or advice as I can't find out much on the internet.
