Hi I have been trying to read the mark on the bottom of this lamp, and it looks like s&c or s&e but could also be something else. Does anyone recognize this? Thank you for looking!!

It probably should read "Sic Currite ut Comprehendatis", a Latin motto. Roughly "Run to win" or rather "So run, that ye may obtain".
Don't know if that helps you a lot though, but now you know! :)

Suddenly realizing I should have never dropped Latin in college! Thank you OlofZ, for your help. Seems like an odd mark, but I can’t wait to look it up and learn more about it.

It may be Italian. During the late 60's to 70's this style was qutie popular for lamps and a lot of companies started up around that time period and they had a lot of competion from the Italians who made wonderful lamps. Odd to not see the handles which suggest Eouropean which is similar to the marks which look European also.
