This lamp puts out a blue light. Help I seen one on antiques road show and they had no idea what it was.

I see some similar new ones that resemble the treatment of Seasonal Affective Disorders and other Circadian Rhythm related problems such as Jet Lag, sleep disorders and problems brought about by shift working.
It killed a plant in 10min.
I would have to guess/bet that this qualifies as what we'd now call a "medical quackery" device -- as in, no matter what ailment it might have been intended to 'treat' or 'cure', it would likely now be considered a huge *health hazard* instead...?
STILL a very cool old lamp -- just don't make a habit to plug it in or turn it on...? ;-) :-)
