My father brought this home from Japan in 1986 for my grandmother while in the navy. It's never been out of its case. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. My dad doesn't remember many details.
These Geisha dolls were made for tourists in Japan . Very popular when servicemen were stationed there to send one home , face is made of gofun which is made from crushed oyster shells .
