      Classical soldier. He has a short beard and helmet on, very nice !~

      This was a popular motif for rings, a Roman soldier's head with the helmet in profile, made in different styles by many silversmiths and jewelers.

      The mark might be Carl-Art Inc., American jewelry company, which used a C and an A with a long arrow going through it.
