This chair is about 32" tall and 16 1/2" across the widest part of the seat. The seat is not attached to the chair, just sets in the frame and is quite heavy (a little over 6 lbs); the "springs" inside the seat are what makes it so heavy. There are no markings on the chair that I could find except for the number 10 over the number 35 handwritten on the bottom of the seat frame. Thank you in advance for any info!

I think c1830 American Empire with saber legs. Very nicely done.

The chair is not Empire. Empire furniture was never, ever, decorated at the top like this. Around 1940 made, mixed design.
