A few days ago I received the framed advertising poster that I won on EBay. It is a perfect go-with for the fence badge in the other frame. The Stewart Iron Works of Cincinnati, Ohio produced some very interesting advertising. The first photo is a page from a June 1910 calendar. The second photo is a cast fence medallion with clips on the back.
I found the black frame at a thrift store for a mere pittance. It had a wierd devil looking effigy mounted inside. I removed it to mount the fence badge in its place. I thought it turned out pretty well. I find it impossible to make a clear photo of framed material with my phone. There is always a glare or a reflection in every photo. I probably made about ten photos of this at different angles. This was the best of the bunch. I do have a camera. Don't think it would solve the problem.
Both are really great, nice win on the first. Photographing a framed piece is always challenging, you're not alone, & you did a fine job
Thanks Newfld. Great to know I'm not alone.
