Does anyone know anything about this lighter? It has absolutely no markings, the bottom unscrews for fuel.
This item is NOT for sale..I don’t care what it’s worth. I just want to know it’s history as I inherited it from my brother.
    Thanks so much!

Look up table lighter or decanter lighter.
A popular brand was Ronson, I think. eBay lists some for sale so maybe u can get a feel for value. Keep looking- there must some info on it somewhere. Good luck. Hope this helps you.

I think it might be a trench art lighter, very nice.

Thank you for your comments Watchsearcher and Phil. I tend to agree it may be a one-off. The parts are unlike any I’ve seen. The cylinder part is covered with what looks like the old plastic laminate tabletops of the ‘50s. The mechanics are so intricate. I’ll keep surfing, but this may be one of those unsolved mysteries!

Adding the one word decanter to my search brought up a picture of an ‘Anglia’ lighter (which mine isn’t), which in turn led me to the above link, which even has a vintage ad showing my lighter. No maker name. Just referred to as a semi-automatic lighter. Thank you for the tips!
