This 1956 Telefunken Opus Royal Hi-Fi was passed down to me by my mom. I can't believe the AM,FM and Shortwave still work after all these years. The sound is really very good. The Turntable powers up but doesn't spin, which is a bummer, cause I have an assortment of Vinyl Records that was passed down as well. The story I have been told is my mom special ordered this Hi-Fi from Germany back in the day. I still have the owners manual, block diagram, schematic circuit diagram and letter from American Elite Inc that congratulates my mom on her purchase.
    Pretty KOOL !!!!

We have something in common--my mom's was originally purchased in 1961. Different cabinet (mahogany), but the same tuner. Mine all works too, even the record player. I wish I knew where to find a new needle, so I could play records.
