These framed tile paintings measure 25.25" high x 7.25" wide. The signature is identical on both. I bought these at a thrift shop maybe 15 years ago, as I like painted tiles. Not sure if these are painted or made using decals, but I really like them and they were inexpensive. I have them hanging in my kitchen. The frames are lacquered. Everything I have been able to find in my research suggests that these date to the 1950s. I have not been able to determine what CDGC stands for.

These are beautiful! There were many US importers of Japanese good, but you are fortunate to have an actual signature of the artist. You can check out gotheborg.com - a great resource for Asian pottery marks, and see if you can find the maker. He also does appraisals for a donation
