    Wings made of Natural Diamonds ----- The above, newly released, photographs, were taken under a "white LED" light. This lighting has allowed several previously undetected aspects to be seen. This piece is currently being researched in the USA, Great Britain, Serbia and other countries that were involved in World War 2. ( The only one in existence. ) The Bell P-39 AIRACOBRA natural diamond and platinum brooch/badge, has never been sold, nor has it been offered for sale, and is currently located within The United States of America. "The p-39 airacobra brooch/badge, (platinum and natural diamond), of Lawrence Dale Bell, founder of Bell Aircraft Company, continues to reveal unique aspects concerning it's construction, precious materials used, and over-all design. One of the worlds best examples of "openwork", "A jour", ( French: jour = day ), diamond settings, considering it dates 1940 to 1942. Both brooches/badges are considered to be "Priceless" or "Invaluable" due to the people, places, origin, and historical aspects of their existence. ------ In virtually every category, physically and historically, the Bell P-39 Airacobra, natural diamond and platinum, as well as the "Silver Bullet" or "V-E Day" , ( Victory In Europe ), brooches -- greatly exceeds -- the Russian Military Dictator, Joseph Stalin's, " The Order Of Victory" badge, ( auction starting price, approximately $18 to $22 million U.S. Dollars - and is not for sale - on display at The Museums of The Moscow Kremlin ) -- made by " The Moscow Jewelry and Clock Factory" --- 22 badges were made, 19 were awarded. -------- Note, the Russian Red Air Force's use of the Bell P-39 Airacobra fighter military airplane was "un-equaled" in fighting Hitler's forces during World War Two. - Russian pilots achieved the highest number of "kills" and the highest number of "Ace Pilots" -- all flying the Bell P-39 Airacobra fighters. ------- ( this was made possible due to the "LEND / LEASE ACT". ) -- ( The Russian "Order Of Victory" is also on display at The Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum, in The United States, - presented to American General Dwight D. Eisenhower, by Joseph Stalin, June 5, 1945. ) ---- See Part 7 P-39 Airacobra Brooch for photographic comparison. ---- The Russian "Order Of Victory" was also presented to British Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery, by Joseph Stalin, June 5, 1945, -- ( at the same ceremony ) -- ( Note, at that time, Joseph Stalin was 'The Acting People's Commissar of Defense of Russia" ) ---------- ( During World War 2, the "Strategic Metals Act" banned the use of gold, silver, platinum, and precious stones in jewelry. Only King George VI and, his wife, Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, could over-ride this law in the United Kingdom. ) ----These two royal gifts are the most valuable symbols of British, American and Allied cooperation during World War Two. It took aprox. 2 years to manufacture and they remained a World War 2 secret for over 75 years. This natural, diamond and platinum P -39 Airacobra brooch/badge was presented to Lawrence Dale Bell, founder of the Bell Aircraft Company by King Peter II, Godson and Envoy of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, in secret, during a royal visit to the Wheatfield Plant of Bell Aircraft Company in June 1942, ( Located on the American and Canadian border, between Niagara Falls and Buffalo, N.Y. ). ----- It is important to note that the military of Yugoslavia -- never ordered, never purchased, and never flew, -- any P-39 Airacobra aircraft made by The Bell Aircraft Company, before or during World War II. ----- The secret presentation took place after King Peter's address to the United States Congress ( June 25, 1942 ), and after a private late night meeting at the White House between President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill and King Peter II. --------- After this meeting, Winston Churchill, in secret, traveled by train to Fort Jackson, in Columbia, S.C. ---and --- King Peter II traveled to Bell Aircraft Company in Wheatfield, N.Y. ------- This brooch is very possibly the most historically valuable diamond and platinum brooch/badge, in the world. ( containing in excess of over 202 round brilliant cut natural diamonds and an additional 26 special cut natural diamonds, totaling over 228 diamonds ). Considering it's history, people involved, royalty involved, countries involved, level of international security involved, it's place in aviation history, and the purpose it served during World War Two, it can only be considered to be invaluable and priceless. ( this brooch has never been sold, never been placed on display, nor has it been offered for sale. ), ---- ( also Google -- THE "VICTORY IN EUROPE" or "V-E DAY" silver broach presented to Larry Bell in secret by King Peter II in July, 1945, The United States President at this time was President Harry S. Truman -- only one brooch of this type was produced. not pictured. ) --- See the above 4 pictures. ---- 1) The rear vertical tail section is drilled, and "brad pinned" into position with a hidden tapered-head platinum pin. This pin is holding the vertical tail section in place. ( This "pin" has never before been seen or realized). This section is more involved than was previously thought. ----- 2) The center ruby, located in the star-in-circle UNITED STATES AIR FORCE identification insignia, is raised and "pave" set. These two natural rubies were previously thought to be flush with the other natural stones. ----- 3) The "white" horizontal stripes in the vertical tail section are "one piece diamonds" cut to fit, and emerald cut on both sides. Previously, these "white" stripes were thought to be horizontal "stacked" smaller diamonds.
