      There is nothing about this that is from 1947. It is much earlier. Looks like something from the 1900s or earlier. With a little research (use Google or search eBay) you should find similar pieces.
      The type of china is Transferware, popular in Great Britain from about 1870 to 1910. Because this pattern has multi colors, it is probably later. Beautiful, and valuable.

      Actually 1947 is probably correct. It is done in the style of old transferware, but this is newer. Very nice! This rectangle shape plate is probably worth around $30-$50.
