The latest charity shop haul- For some reason the last few trips to the shops have been full of lovely and interesting jewellery pieces. The first piece was a necklace I spotted with a little orange stone in the middle of some looped wire- I think the stone is Citrine or Carnelian but someone correct me if I'm wrong!
The little turtle brooch was spotted pinned to a cushion behind a jewellery box which I just happened to glance at and then took it for it's beauty and deep rich blue colour- and also because I adore turtles!
And then the ring- my favourite of all the new finds and possibly the best quality. I spotted this in a glass cabinet and knew to look at it it was silver and seems to be set with a light green/grey stone which I think is a Peridot? But once again, correct me if I'm wrong! It would be wonderful if it was, Peridot being my birthstone, but it's got such a simple plain design, the milky stone really adds to it's understated beauty.
The ring is stamped 925.
Necklace- €4 ($4.61/ £3.52)
Brooch- €0.50( $0.58/£0.44)
Ring- €8 ($9.23/ £7.03)
Haha- thank you nutsabotas6! My mother tells me I have 'artist's hands!'
Beautiful pieces, I love them all! The orange stone in the pendant has such a pretty gold wrapped setting, and the green ring is a beauty of fine sterling silver & probably peridot as you thought. My fave you know is that pretty turtle, lovely mosaic enamel back & red rhinestone eyes. Very nice!
Ah thanks a lot Newfld- funny you should say the pendant is wrapped in gold- actually it's silvery in person!
Sorry bout that, maybe it's time for new reading glasses - still in silver, a beautiful modernist design! - Jenni
