It has been in the family since before I was alive and now it has been passed down to me. I'm sure it saw a lot of action back in it's day and fixed slot of the families clothes or probably was used to make some clothes as well. The serial number says it's from 1873. Things sure have changed since then
Can you take a picture without the cover on it? I think the kit in your other post is a buttonholer.
