Published before its 1949 postmark, this colorized linen postcard of Buffalo’s Central Terminal displays its Art Deco motif in a commendable way.
The Terminal still exists, though no trains stop there anymore. Perhaps this will change in the future as the building and grounds are being rehabilitated. All that it takes is money…..
I'm sorry Ted, but I have to say that this is one ugly building. Be honest. Can there possibly be a name for that style ? We fought a perfectly good Civil War and obviously we killed all the northern architects ! Having too much fun tonite ! LOL !
Beautiful card, I like the old fashioned architecture of the bldg it reminds me of the tower in movie Niagara
I don't know, 'buss...maybe it is comes off as a bad picture. But it really is beautiful up close, and a really good example of the Art Deco genre. Check some of the references from keramikos.
