This has been in our family a long time and found it’s way to my hands. The box inside has accessories and a manual that’s dated 1948. Does anyone know anything special about this I should know? I’m thinking of trying to get it in working order.

Looks like the same cabinet as mine and mine is from 1929. As it is a treadle all you should need is cleaning, lubricant and a treadle cord.

like mine also! I went to a Singer machine repair shop and was able to get a new cable. I remembered how to sew with it because my Granny sewed dresses, aprons, curtains, patched and repaired everything with a hole or tear--I watched closely, probably in her way, and could sew my doll clothes on a sewing machine!
I use mine as a lamp table.
