This is a U.S. Navy blouse which belonged to a crew member of the USS Vancouver. The blouse is dated to the year 1967. The rate on the left sleeve is that of a Petty Officer 3rd class, damage control. The cap is the standard USN sailor cap, also known as a "Dixie Cup" cap. The USS Vancouver was launched in 1962, and in 1964 was deployed to Vietnam in the area of Danang. Throughout the war the Vancouver returned to Vietnam many times and in many capacities. She left Vietnam for the last time in 1973.
