So the obvious seems — mid-century (50s/60s) ceramic, hand painted, no identifying marks. There’s barely a hint of a seam anywhere, and a pinhole in the base that is either there to hold it during production or on a mount for display. (Base is flat, not roly poly — I’ll add a pic of the base asap.) Note the white band across the back of the raised arm. Is this a socio-political statement? A comic book superhero? It all looks familiar but I just can’t figure it out.

It's a Chulucanas pottery figure, from Peru, if that is any help.

Chulucanas is a town in northwestern Peru, famous for its pottery.

      It's contemporary, however, not 1950s/1960s.

Wow! Thank you for your fast help! Are these typically unsigned?

Sideways problem resolved by editing pics. I reduce an edge slightly and reload. It should fix the problem.

Some are signed, a lot are not. But the distinctive rounded body style is typical of this type of Chulucanas pottery.
