Hi there
I am interested if anyone knows anything about the above plate.? Is it Verlys? if so what pattern? The plate itself has no makers marks, and it looks to be moulded but again no join marks. The fish are raised from the plate and can be used as feet. The plate is a beautiful pink colour. The plate is just over 30 cm across and about 4/5 cm high. Photo's 1 and 2 of the plate show front and back of the plate.
I hope someone can help me with this identification.
Thank you
Kiwimade.
Absolutely beautiful plate with lovely fish design
If it is not signed and was made with a Verlys mold, then it would have been made by Heisey using the Verlys mold. I have read that some reproductions are also being made in France using old, worn Verlys molds but the quality is very low. I could not find this pattern and don't know if it was made using a Verlys mold. There are a couple of fish bowls made with Verlys molds that I found examples of.
Thanks Newfld, Thank you kwqd for your help. I am not sure if Verlys either I am just hoping someone knows.
I have seen a few Verlys plates also but none like this. And the colour is this 1930 ?
