    Don't know anything about it. It's just stunning to me. I think it is Japanese. Don't know how old it is been hanging forever in grams house?

      They are wearing Chinese clothes not Japanese.

      A very nice example of two boats meeting, one of them being a flower boat - pleasure cruise with prostitutes. Fairly unusual narrative scene.

      Chinese, made in Guangzhou (Canton). Pith paper painting, NOT rice paper. See https://harvardmagazine.com/2009/03/pith-paper

      I would say 19th c.
