This little vase is 6" high x 3.5" at its widest. It has an inner layer of white glass, a layer of spatter glass and a layer of clear glass. This is a window ledge filler in one of my kitchen windows and I have had it for a few years. I have no idea where I got it or what I paid for it, but it was a minimal price, I am certain. I just noticed it today and thought it might be photo worthy since it is fairly complex and (I think) attractive. It was blown in mold with a ground top. Calling it a mystery as I know nothing about it and it is unmarked.

Pretty vase..... It does not have pontil work. It would have been blown in a mold, cut from the top, and them polished at the rim. It is most likely Bohemian.

Thanks, welzebub! What caused the depression and disruption on the bottom? Was it done when it was removed from the mold?

The shape of the mold bottom may have been just like that.

      That makes sense.

Many times the center of the mold was recessed slightly to aid in making them sit flat without much additional work. Sometimes you will find a piece that has flat grinding to parts of the outer area of the base, indicating it was ground to make it sit flat. Easier to recess the center to avoid any glass in the middle of the base causing it to sit unevenly. It is relatively common to find that. The depth of the recess can vary quite a bit.
