I consider this an important find. Found recently in a GI Footlocker, an original handmade antiwar Protest Sign vs. our involvement in the Vietnam War. It protests the war for the dates of April 24 and May 5 and May 16 from 1971, which are the dates of protest in Washington DC and San Francisco. It measures approximately 24" tall x 36" wide.
What makes this even more poignant it was owned and likely created by, a tragically legless wheelchair bound Vietnam Vet. Conjures up the imagery of Tom Cruise in Born on the Fourth of July - only this is real, with real emotions and not an actor. Powerful piece of history I will do my best to preserve.
Great piece of history!
"Born on the 4th of July" is actually the true story of Ron Kovic.

Thanks Scott. I am trying to get the name of this veteran but as of now, the sister won't release it to me for the provenance.
