Well, He was a Yeoman, with over 24 years of service but without good conduct..if he'd of had good conduct the stripes would have been gold.
anybody else??
Interesting, so if its not gold he was dishonorably discharged if so is that always a bad thing.
Thanks for the info, also if I could ask_ive had a collector ask about this, is it of any value. Thanks
does not mean he was dishonorably discharged. just that he prob. had a captain's mass....
also, curious as to how u know this is from ww11 as this is the uniform worn today by the military.
By not having good conduct I simply mean that he had some sort of disiplinary action that prevented him from getting the gold stripes. I would find it hard to belive that someone with this much time invested would risk it all...... Don't jump to conclusions. Look inside and there should be a tag that could narrow down your time search.
Another give away if it was from ww2 would be if the uniform has 8 buttons or six buttons.
if it is not ww2 that what era is it? could it be that it is just missing a couple of buttons?
