I have searched for a long time to identify this vase. So far I haven't been successful. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

The vase has a rather unusual shape. It appears to be pressed glass. The vase is very heavy for it size; it weighs 1.28kg. It is 5.5 inches high and 9 inches wide. The bottom rim is finely polished. The finishing looks like raindrops or bubbles.

When I looked at the vase, I first thought that it might be made in Czechoslovakia but I could not confirm this. I also checked out Scandinavian glass - no match. Then I checked mid-century modern glass. I am at a loss.

    Thanks for looking:)

Beautiful! It's Polish from Zabkowice glassworks and part of the 'Asteroid' range by Jan Sylwester Drost. The 'Asteroid' pieces were produced from 1972 to 1975.

Great piece, considered quite desirable. :)
