    I found this in a house clean up. It looks like the engraving says V.K & C
    The family did serve, and it does have serial numbers.

      I remember a old German knife company name V.K Co. I think they were in business as far back as late 1800's till WW2 era. Made all sorts of knifes.

      That little point on the pommel is for punching holes in skulls.

      Looks like that little point is on a swivel so don't think it is a skull buster. More likely for disengagement of from a rifle. This looks like a bayonet. Is there a grove in the handle like it should slide onto something?
