Can anyone tell me anything about this chair I just bought at an auction? Its a smaller ladies size without any markings. I believe its called a press back or spindle rocker. How can I determine if it's Victorian or a repro?
    Thanks for any info.

It looks early 20th century, as there were hundreds of furniture makers in Canada alone and the states even more, it would be almost impossible to find the original maker. Over 95% of makers left no records and most made their own version of a style such as this one of yours. Best to go to a large library wherever you are and most have a history room. They have clippings of ads, and some may have old household catalogs which may be viewed.
