I love this, but have no idea what it is. There is a brass looking frame with a metal rectangle inside that moves a bit. The front is shiny black. Not sure if this would be considered laquer or what. I'm intrigued by the very shiny silver flower design that appears to be inlaid. The clasp looks very old. I have no idea what era it is from, how it was made, what the style is called, etc. Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks, guys. I'm glad other folks like the stuff I like! And maybe I'm over thinking this one--vintage enamel brooch may say it all. I would love to know how they made it though. Maybe the silver design is silver leaf??? The design on the front looks fairly modern to me, but the back looks so old.
