These plates are what I would consider salad size. They are more imperfect than most plates I've found, and I've bought lots of depression glass pieces. the color is not uniform and is streaky in places. Some plates are thicker than others. Does anyone know what these are? I looked high and low and am starting to wonder if they are handmade. The close-up photos are taken of the back to better show the detailed, frosted leaves. Thanks!

They almost give the impression of an Intaglio glass plate, I imagine they stimulate the appetite !~

Maybe post them in the glassware section too. Iam afraid I know nothing about glass. I am sure they were probably hand molded rather than done by machine, which would accountforthe uneven colour, which, in my opinion, makes them more attractive!

You might find more like these in the Bohemian glass category, is the design cut, could be called cut to clear, amber flashed glass plates. The color is applied after the glass plate was made, sometimes several glass pieces do not match exactly. Probably early 20th century. IMO

truthordare is correct! Look and You might find other pieces out there to match.

Thank you, everyone. I have looked up the types of glass you mentioned, and I'm learning a lot! I should have mentioned that the leaf designs are frosted or somewhat opaque white with fine lines and details. The design is on the bottom of the plates and the leaves are raised, in other words you can feel their texture. Still, it seems that some of the Bohemian and Amber Cut to Clear items I saw online are like this too.

I added some close up pictures that were taken of the back to show the detail in the frosted leaves design.
