Here's another little trinket from the kitchen shelf. Probably found at a thrift store somewhere (?) I don't really remember where I got it, though I *do* remember that "got milk?" TV ad campaign which no doubt prompted its creation in the first place. Made of white ceramic in the shape of a half-pint milk carton, it measures about 3" square and about 4" tall. (and thus is pretty close to the *real* size of a half-pint milk carton?!) The 'got milk?' logo is raised on one side, and also appears on its bottom along with "(c) 1999 California Milk Processor Board". Also on its bottom is the raised maker's lettering reading "At Home International Made in Thailand (c)99".
i have a bumper sticker on my car which says 'Got Milkweed?' the history of the 'Got Milk' campaign is interesting. Nothing to do with healthy living. Everything to do with helping farms/farmers [the bigger the better ones].
Thanks SO MUCH to Vinyl33rpm, Watchsearcher, Toyrebel, fortapache, officialfuel, Newfld, ho2cultcha, & TassieDevil for the <love it>s!!
I agree ho2cultcha, a most interesting 'campaign' and no doubt even more 'most profitable' for its original PR firm. (and/or big CA dairy farming operations, and/or CA politicians, or whoever, maybe even the "healthy public" somewheres down near the end of that line...??) <groan> Oh well, still a fun little shelf decoration...? ;-) :-)
