Early 1900s American Empire mahogany sleigh bed

I bought this bed along with two matching dressers about 14 years ago for $600 and yes I did refinish this bed Im working on the dressers . The finish was solid black then the furniture smelled of smoke .I wanted to know if the grain was flame mahogany. It's an everyday use piece and I have no plans to sell it anyway .it's also not a very popular Style for resale .the bed turned out beautiful but it took a lot of work.
