Wonder if anyone can help, I have acquired now this beautiful chair, which needs a bit of work to restore in terms of upholstery. I’m also thinking of painting it and jazzing it up a bit, but I’m now worried it could be an antique, which would be a shame. So not sure which way to go with bringing it back to it’s glory?

Can anyone shed any light on it, whatever way I Ann keeping this for myself.
    Thanks for anyone’s help

Appears 40's to 1950 or so. They made this traditional antique style until the 70's mainly and some still going on but most shut down after the 1980's.

Thanks for your feedback. Aparrently it was bought 1920’s at an country house auction, previous owner has come back with a little more information.

Do you think this sounds correct, as this dates it much older and again now wondering what direction to take it in?
