Found at an antique store in Waynesville, MO. Contains a letter from Poland dated 1889. Made for the 1st birthday of a child. Item in center of box is a lace pouch containing an unknown item. I had the letter translated, and it was basically stating that it was in honor of this girl's first birthday. And then it went on to say that they wished her a long life, full of "sweets." Then gave the name of her aunt (the lady who wrote the letter). The contents seem to be sewn in, it just has a paper backing. The letter is quite faded, and seems to have had some moisture get to it. Some of the letters are hard to decipher.
