I found this at my favorite second hand shop in Oakland the other day. It had a raised panel on the top back, which did not belong and i removed it. i like how it looks much better now. unfortunately, it was stripped at some point. it was stained a bit and i steel wooled the stains off and waxed it well with butcher block wax. the only markings on it are the word 'Turner' scratched into the bottom. it's constructed so nicely - perfect! it reminds me of Shaker pieces i've seen.

the secondary wood - bottom piece is pine, but i'm not sure whether it's white or yellow or what kind of pine. anyone know?

i mean the bottom of the drawers as seen in the second shot.

it's yellow pine - so a southern piece, i think.
